Associate Business Process Analyst

Primary Responsibilities and Activities

  • Understands how to map various objects on a process flow diagram (e.g. application, swim-lane, process step, document, decision, text box, hyperlink)
  • Models and enhances important business process diagrams (for example, using a graphic-oriented business process analysis/modeling tool)
  • Able to identify issues on a process map and make recommendations for better presentation/flow
  • Understands how the business processes support business strategies and objectives
  • Communicates and presents status updates, issues, and delays at weekly stand-up meetings
  • Schedules meetings to discuss, create, update and design process diagrams
  • Searches internal and external resources for prebuilt models, templates and services to meet process needs
  • Follows organization’s Best Practices and process flow checklist to create/update diagrams

Education and Training

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of business process/value stream mapping experience required
  • Lean Six Sigma Training preferred

Experience & Skills

  • Strong business process/value stream mapping skills
  • Strong experience using MS Visio and SharePoint
  • Strong MS Office skills (e.g. Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Detail oriented and strong communication skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in parallel
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities and works well under pressure
  • Keeps composure in stressful situations
  • Familiarity with managing metadata in files, diagrams, SharePoint sites, and other documents
  • Familiarity with quality practices (e.g. Lean)
